IHRA Summit Super Series at San Antonio, Texas
It was the defending Motorcycle class champ, Brandon Mitchan (San Antonio) going up against San Antonio's Gene Hudel in the Motorcycle finals. Mitchan used a .062 holeshot on his Suzuki Hayabusa to beat Hudel on his Kawasaki Ninja, who ran closer to his index.
Mitchan (shown) had to re-buy after a round one loss to rival, Ruben Gallegos, then had a round two bye. Hudel had the round one bye, then beat Gallegos in round two.
Brandon Mitchan (5.63), 5.7174 at 115.27 defeats Gene Hudel (6.09) 6.1634 at 116.07.
It was old school versus new school as two Ford Mustangs paired off in the Trophy Street finals. Rick Guerra (San Antonio) in the 2014 Mustang 5.0 got the best of Travis Waggoner (Lubbock) in his 68 Mustang Fastback. The race was won on the starting line with Guerra tripping the tree with a .057 to .262 for Waggoner.
Guerra (shown) took out Silvia Zemgals in round one with a round two bye. T. Waggoner bested Cody Waggoner and Rhett Floyd.
