Australia’s 400 Thunder Sportsman Series will add Pro Radial to their classes.
The class is open to a variety of engine configurations – four-, six- and eight-cylinder blocks, superchargers, turbochargers, and nitrous oxide-injection – but all running on conventional radial tires. 400 Thunder will manage the class’s technical regulations to ensure no engine combination becomes dominant.
The class will run the eighth mile in a heads-up format using a Pro Tree.
Three events will host the class this year beginning at Willowbank Raceway’s Easter weekend event, the Santos Super 3 on March 25-26, followed by Sydney Dragway’s Nitro Champs May 7-8, and ending back at Willowbank with the Winternationals on June 9-12.
