Great American Bracket Race is this weekend at Memphis
The Seventh Annual Moser Engineering Great American Bracket Race (GABR) scheduled for Sept. 11-13 at Memphis International Raceway isn’t an event geared solely toward touring racers who chase big bucks across the country.
The GABR will also have classes for Footbrake, Jr. Dragster and Stock/Super Stock Combo when racing gets under way on Friday.
Footbrake will race on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with $1,000 going to the winner each day and payouts going through the round of eight. Buybacks are $40 and available in first round only. A single day entry is $60 and a three-race entry is $150.
New to this year’s event is the Great American Jr. Dragster Ultimate Challenge which will be contested on Friday and Saturday. The field will be limited to the first 16 entries. Each day, the winner will take home the $2,000 first prize and the runner up gets $500. The entry fee is $500 for both races (there is no single day entry or buybacks for this class).
Added to this event is the 2nd Hand Power Stock/SS Combo race which will be run on both Saturday and Sunday. Entry fee is $75 with no buybacks and the winner of each race can win as much as $1,500 depending on the number of entries.
